HERE IS THE NEWS ARTICLE FROM WIBV Buffalo about the accident
(July 10, 2007) - - A jet skier remains in critical condition after a
dramatic accident in the lower Niagara Gorge. News 4's George Richert
describes how rescuers pulled the victim out of Devil's Hole.
Two different teams of first responders carried him out of the Niagara
Gorge.
Niagara Falls Fire Battalion Chief Nicholas Villardo said, "We took turns
carrying him up the stairs of the Devil's Hole."
At the top of the 300 stairs, Michael Jansen was still not responding.
The 35-year-old jet skier from Burlington, Ontario, had suffered a severe
head injury after his jet ski collided with another.
Witnesses saw a group of jet skis doing flips.
Bill Clark of Youngstown said, "Looked like they were having fun, but I was
kind of worried, because it's kind of a bad spot to be."
So, Clark started taking pictures.
Clark said, "I thought that, I told my wife, 'Boy, if they fall off the jet
ski there, they're going to have some problems.' "
Five minutes later, rescuers were rushing to the scene.

Water Productions, Canada’s leader in High Definition Powersports TV Shows releases another great addition to our extensive list of motorsport titles. Currently Producing Personal Watercraft TV, Sledsense, and Grass Roots Racing TV. The exploding sport of Motocross is blown up and we are going behind the scenes with the biggest names in the sport to see how they live, train and practice. MX Culture is about to hit the airwaves.
Our first episode features The Deputy Darcy Lange. This new show will go to air in both Canada and the USA. In the USA it will begin airing in the 4th quarter of 2007 on the Outdoor Channel and the Outdoor Channel 2HD. In Canada it will begin also in the 4th quarter on RushHD.

Under a warm glow of friends and family Kevin and Jennifer were wed at noon on Saturday May 6, 2006. Our Orr Lake Facility of Water Productions was transformed into a wedding paradise by Kevin's cousin Dana of The Gown Gallery in Barrie. The ceremonies included a beautiful sand ceremony and a huge festival of food.

ELMVALE, ONTARIO - A little over a year ago, Canadian sports television production company Water Productions, made significant investment in HD gear, including the addition of a Panasonic Varicam camera and a Fujinon HA18x7.6BERM HD ENG/EFP lens. The production company has been using the combination to capture sports footage in all sorts of extreme weather conditions ever since.
“The Panasonic Varicam combined with the Fujinon HA18x7.6BERM lens is unlike anything we’ve had the joy of working with before,” says Kevin Cullen, Water Productions’ owner and host of Sledsense, Personal Watercraft Television and Grassroots Racing Television. “Switching to HD was a big, yet wise investment for us. It’s changed our company completely.”

Taking HD acquisition gear worth tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars into extreme situations isn’t always the wisest thing to do. But for Water Productions, a Canadian sports television production company, sometimes it’s the only thing to do.
The company produces three programs for Outdoor Channel 2 HD that have owner (and host of the programs) Kevin Cullen, taking his Panasonic Varicam camera and new Fujinon lens into a wide variety of challenging elements.
Whether on the back of a snowmobile on Sledsense, darting across the water on Personal Watercraft Television or tackling motorsports on Grassroots Racing Television the gear has held on.
"Every camera operator that has used this camera-lens combination has commented on the smoothness and ease of use," he says of the Varicam/ Fujinon HA18x7.6BERM HD ENG/EFP lens outfit.
"To say we pound this camera is an understatement," he says. "We have a Portabrace cover and case and also use garbage bags a lot to protect it."
Cullen says the combination of the lens and Panasonic’s Varicam camera has resulted in images that are more accurate to what the eye sees than competing options, particularly when shooting in the 720p format. Color tones were more natural and shooting action sports at 60 frames per second offers slow-motion capabilities that pop.
Cullen's agreement with the Outdoor Channel HD gives him the flexibility to substitute a standard-definition camera and up-rez material if the risk of damage is too great. But the Varicam has battled through every situation. "We haven’t delivered one up-rezed image yet," he says.
HD has also shown its strengths when shooting snow-based events in Revelstoke, British Columbia. "If we'd shot with a DV camera, the picture would have come out all white, with only a little bit of definition," explains Cullen. "In the case of the Fujinon HA18x7.6BERM lens and Panasonic Varicam, what you see is what you get."
Another factor was the weight balance of the lens and camera. "At the race course you must use a combination of ENG and tripod based set ups and running at race pace all over these sites is a very tough job," he says. "I want my camera operators to have their right arm left at the end of each race day. So although we could on occasion use a longer lens, it wouldn’t be a perfectly balance camera."
Water Productions will soon cover snowmobile tours in Dear Lake, Newfoundland; Reykjavik, Iceland; and Helsinki, Finland. After shooting in Helsinki in April, the team flies to Anchorage, Alaska for a watercraft show. In May, they are scheduled to travel to Machu Pichu and Lake Titicaca in Peru.
Cullen says that each day using the lens has been a learning experience and the results continue to get better. "Once we were confident in the area of focusing we’ve been on a tear," he says.

Judged on surf riding and some of the most incredible aerial trick riding you will ever see Oceanside is also a showcase for the very best american riders. The 2005 edition featured names like Taylor Curtis and Jerry Brandon as well as top european riders Pierre Maixent and Federico Bufacchi. A lot was on the line as Oceanside is the lead in event to the final round of competition in Brazil which is also on the schedule for PWC TV.

Our SLEDSENSE film crew has just returned from an awesome visit to Revelstoke and Panorama in Canada's scenic Rocky Mountains.
The SLEDSENSE Adventure to Toby Creek in Panorama, British Columbia was for the whole family. We were joined by 4 and 6 year olds to a true back country experience. Riding on beautiful single track trail to White Tail Lake and we were guests of White Tail Lodging in brand new cabins. NICE!
 
In Revelstoke, British Columbia we were guests of Glacier House Resort where hard-core snowmobiling is at it's finest. With over 50 feet of annual snowfall, this was a powderfest. This episode is for you if you currently ride, or want to learn how to ride, in deep powder.
