GRRTV Season #1 Episode Descriptions Lake Havasu 2004 #1 S1E1 Competition GRRTV
cameras were at the greatest watercraft event in North America. Lake Havasu provides a backdrop for some of the best riders in the world and we feature some of the sports young up and comers. At age 14 Chris Wilkinson is one of Britains brightest young stars and he shows us a few moves at an exclusive test session along with freestyler Daniel Ashcroft. The girls are also well represented as Elizabeth Perkins and Shawnee Matta tear up the course in amateur stock ski competition.

Midget Racing #3 S1E3 Competition GRRTV travels to Pomona, California for fast and furious 1/4 midget racing. Pomona Valley has been the home of these scaled down racers for over 50 years and the field includes boys and girls ages 5 to 16 years old. The great thing about Pomona is that the track is also scaled down so it gives the kids a true racing experience.
Barona Drag Racing #4 S1E4 Competition In the hills of Lakeside, California we found a jewel in the rough in the form of the Barona 1/8 Mile Drag Racing Strip. Built on the Barona indian reservation it is the only junior drag strip in San Diego county and attracts kids from all across the United States. The ages range from 6 to 16 and we ran into a twin brother and sister tandem with an interesting story to tell.
Ponca R1 Qualifier #5 S1E5 Competition One of three qualifiers for the NMA Grand National Motocross Championships, the premier amateur event held in Ponca, Oklahoma. Glen Helen Raceway plays host to all the top riders from western states, region one. Many greats have come out of this series including superstar Jeremy McGrath.
IKF Grand Nationals #6 S1E6 Competition On this episode we focus on the faced paced world of go-carting. Carting is one of the most popular forms of entry level racing and has spawned such talent as Nascar greats Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon. Minicups #9 S1E9 Competition GRRTV travels to the All American Speedway in Roseville, California for the West Coast Minicup Nationals. Minicup cars are half the size of their Nascar big brothers but are purpose built race cars complete with roll cages, live suspension and 300cc 4 stroke Honda engines. The drivers range in age from 8 to 16 and do as much bumping and grinding on the track as their Nascar heros so you will not want to miss this one.

Youth Speedway #13 S1E13 Competition On this episode we feature the Youth National Speedway Championships from Auburn, California. For one night only the top riders from the state hit the dirt track oval to claim bragging rights to who is best, north or south. The bikes are like nothing else out there with no brakes, 500cc engines making 70hp and they run on methanol. A throwback from the 1920s this form of racing is unique to say the least.
Lee Stone #14 S1E14 Competition On this special edition of GRRTV
we focus on one incredible young athlete. At the age of 14 Lee Stone is the youngest freestyle watercraft champion in both the British and World Amateur ranks. We hitch a ride with the Stone family and follow their progress through the British, European and World Finals in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
ABA BMX Nationals #15 S1E15 Competition A GRRTV double header as we feature the ABA BMX Nationals and the Honda Junior Red Riders motocross training clinic in Toronto, Canada. BMX racing is a direct descendant of motocross and a great way to get into the sport. The Junior Red Riders program is designed for novices and those who wish to take it a step further. Part 1 – Silver State Quarter Midget Winter Nationals

On this episode of GRR-Tv we start a two episode road trip to the Silver State Quarter Midget Winter Nationals at the Buffalo Bills Hotel & Casino in Primm NV.
Every winter the Buffalo Bill's Hotel & Casino parking lot at the California/Nevada State line is transformed into a high speed Quarter Midget raceway. For four days straight, over 400 cars dig in to the long flat-track oval, each with one thing on their mind...The checkered flag!
And the competition is tough. These 4 - 16 year old boys and girls bump, push and light up the track with the same passion as their big brothers and sisters on the full scale midget circuit!
Young racers came from all over the U.S. and Canada to compete in what has become the "not to be missed" Quarter Midget event of the winter.

We’re back on the blacktop for the Good Times Quarter Midget Racing Association Silver State Winter Nationals at Buffalo Bills Hotel & Casino in Primm NV.
It's called the Silver State and that's where we are for part two of our special
GRR-Tv quarter midget double header. For four days straight, over 400 cars hit the parking lot oval as young racers from across the United States and Canada came for the challenge, the fun and the excitement that is Quarter Midgets.
Quarter Midget Racing is considered an individual sport, but today we learn why it's really more of a team sport and to be successful, every player must do their part.
If you missed episode one, fear not because this show will jump you right into the action.

Pro Kart Challenge

GRR-Tv crew stops at Moran Raceway in Beaumont CA for the opening round of the Pro Kart Challenge. This series is a pro Go-kart racing series where, for young drivers, it can be a grueling introduction into the fast paced world of pro kart racing.
In the past on
GRR-Tv we’ve covered everything from kid karts to Junior's, but in this episode we take a deeper look at kids moving up. We see how they deal with the pressure of racing with veterans twice their age and with twice the experience.
The
GRR-kids can do anything they put their mind to and sometimes when they race against the best, they learn how the best wins.

Today the GRR-Kids are at California Speedway in Fontana CA for the Los Angeles Kart Club season opener.
The sun was shining and the Southern California sky was blue. And considering it was January, the conditions couldn't have been better for a day at the races. Then came the wind, and when we say wind, we mean wind. In fact, it was almost as if Mother Nature had entered and was going for a podium finish herself!
But the GRR Kids of the Los Angeles Kart Club run it rain or shine...or in the wind!
